SMS marketing is effective for a number of business operations, and which are not limited to customers using it to request for information on goods and services, asking general questions, or even giving feedback. This system is also widely used for purposes of entering contests, landing coupons, and even obtaining special discounts. Many companies are also making use of text marketing to alert their customers about the new products and/or services that they have on offer.
All this is possible because with mobile phones customers can be reached wherever and whenever they are. A point to note is that all communications that companies want to make must be based on a customer’s request, or what is referred to as an opt in. This simply means that companies must ask and obtain the consent of users before sending them marketing information which may otherwise be deemed as spam. Companies seek to work with SMS marketing firms which have access to the best radio, TV and print networks just to be sure that their marketing messages will reach the bulk of the masses.
